Meetings Notes - February 13, 2008
Happy Valentines Day!
It was little windy and cold outside so we had our meeting indoors.
We welcomed Bob who is a new member and glad you could make it Victor. Jim brought out our banner for suggestions and we mostly agreed that perhaps having the model names of the bikes might look nice on the banner as well. Overall, it was quite a nice banner. Jim is also going to make cards for us to hand out to Triumph owners, so he passed a sheet around the table for us to modify what we would like to read on our cards. We will also have window stickers and patches. Most of us prefer to have the rat back in the picture. Jim believes he can get these items moving along before the next meeting.
We will be at the Clubman show this year on March 29th and 30th.We will have be handing out two trophies. One for the best Hinckley and one for the best modified Hinckley bike. Jim and Graham have offered to man our booth. I am putting feelers out because we would like to have a display of older Hinckley models on the floor. If you know someone who has a 1990's Triumph that wouldn't mind having their bike in the show, please let me know.
By the way, the BSA club is raffling a 1972 BSA A65, so those of you who would like to have an old bike, you may want to buy a ticket for this bike. For more information on the Clubman show go to the http://www.bsanoc.org. There will be a morning after ride which will leave Sunday morning from Baker's Square Restaurant in Los Gatos.
Our ride this weekend will meet at Moto Italiano at (9:00) and we will leave soon after that. Please gas up before you arrive so we can get on the road sooner. We will be heading up north, stopping in Redwood City to pick up Graham and others and then we will head over the Golden Gate bridge to Marin and stop at Hattar Motors. I talked to them and they are sending an email out to their Triumph riders letting them know we are coming. Hattar opens at noon and they will have routes for us to chose from.
