Bay Area RAT

January 10, 2004 Ride

Our ride report is as follows: We met at Cal Triumph at 9.a.m. Mike (Triumph sales) and Mark (District sales) met us and made us feel at home. The Triumph truck was there and so some of us took test rides. Gee… it’s hard not to want every bike Triumph sells. ☺

We left with 10 bikes (FZ-1Yamaha included) around 10:30 on our way to the Pinnacles State Park. The roads were quite rolling as we left the highway and took 152 to 25. We stopped for lunch at Flap Jacks. Great food! We then rode the rest of the way to the Pinnacles, where it was getting pretty darn warm. The scenery was beautiful and the ranger informed us that there are golden eagles that nest there. Nope! We didn’t see a thing folks, but the greenery and rock formations are beyond beautiful.

After a time we departed and one by one, checked off down our own paths. The only mishap, well it could have been one, was Bill Murphy’s Tiger “somehow” lost a bolt from the front brake caliper. Bill removed one from the rear and replaced the front bolt. All was fine and let’s hope Tigger and owner got home safely. I’m a true believer that “Tiggers” are great for taking care of their owners. Good time had by all…

Well, that’s it kids!
